Gasket seals use a solid rubber/foam ring that is compressed. Gel seals use a liquid-like gel in a trough. Gel seals are more reliable for leak prevention in high-vibration or high-airflow environments and are much easier to replace without damaging the filter housing.
Typically, HEPA filters are replaced every 12-24 months depending on the pre-filtration efficiency and the cleanroom environment. We recommend monitoring the pressure drop; once it reaches 2-3 times the initial resistance, replacement is advised.
